Hey OJ - You did it!

Will someone please help me out here. O.J. Simpson wants to write a book, "If I Did It", about the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. So let him. Who better to write the book on the murders than the murderer himself?

I mean come on. Have I missed something here? Simpson was acquitted of murder in 1995 but was later found liable for the killings in a wrongful-death suit filed by the Goldman family. The last time I checked a court of law said that he killed them. The only distinction between being labeled a murderer and losing the wrongful-death suit was the court venue. One was criminal and one was civil.

Either way he is GUILTY!

So let's finally hear what he did or at least "how he says he would have done it." Lets see what is going on inside his head now and how it relates to what happened then.

Quit all of the public outcries about him profiting and him making money off the book. Of course he is going to make money. Said Simpson “Would everybody stop being so naive? Of course I got paid,” O.J. Simpson said with a laugh in a radio interview. “I spend the money on my bills. It’s gone.”

O.J. Simpson told The Associated Press he participated in the ill-fated “If I Did It” book and interview project for one reason — personal profit, acknowledging that any financial gain was “blood money.”

And would someone please tell me why anyone is at all surprised by this. This is America and people do all sorts of things for money. Thieves steal, politicians lie, corporate board members back date stock options and hookers provide sex for money. So what! The point is that no one is above doing anything for money. It just depends on their situation and how desperate they are.

And Simpson is desperate. I really have not seen him in many Avis commercials lately. In fact I have not seen him in any commercials at all lately. Have you? He is just living off of his NFL retirement which I am sure is enough for you and I but probably not enough for him.

You see once someone has tasted celebrity and lives large then they never want to lose it. They crave the limelight and the lifestyle. Which is exactly what he is getting now. He is back in the limelight and got paid a lot of money, $3.5 million, for his story.

So really who can blame him? What did you really expect? A court says that he killed two people in cold blood. So why be surprised that he would take blood money? Is there anything he would not do for money? Probably not.

No. Let him tell his story and if you want to hear it you can listen. If not, you can turn the channel or just walk away from the water cooler.

But don't be confused by the title, "If I did it", of Simpson's book. Hey O.J., a court of law already said you did it!
