Poll: Iraqis support attacks on U.S. troops

So now the majority of Iraqis, 61%, wants America out of Iraq and actually approves of the attacks on Americans forces. Yes, you read that right. Iraqis approve of attacks on American forces. Even the majority of Shiites approve of the attacks. Now how is that for gratitude?

America, behind George Bush the genius, invades their country, rids them of their despot leader and what do they have to say to us other than LEAVE? Nothing! Just leave! Not that it is surprising to me at all. In fact, I am sure that it is not at all surprising to most Americans.

Iraqis are wondering why we are still there. Are we there for the oil or are we there to keep a base from which to coordinate change in the Middle East? Either case is unacceptable to the Iraqis. And I for one totally agree with them.

If America's intention was to rid the country of Saddam Hussein then we have succeeded. If America has other intentions then we are obviously not done yet and the Iraqis would like to know what they are as would I. I think the American people have the right to know since it is "our money" being spent on this fiasco and "our troops" dying in the war.

Of course George Bush won't say exactly what our reason for staying is even when his own polls tell him differently.

The State Department, meanwhile, has conducted its own poll, something it does periodically, spokesman Sean McCormack said. The State Department poll found two-thirds of Iraqis in Baghdad favor an immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces, according to The Washington Post. McCormack declined to discuss details of the department's poll.

Bush just says that we must stay the course. He says that we must stay until the Iraqi security forces are "capable of putting an end to terrorism and maintaining stability and security." What a joke!

The mighty military machine that is the American Army can't put an end to terrorism and maintain security so how the hell will the Iraqis alone stop them? The answer is they won't which means that America is there indefinitely.

We are there until Bush leaves office or until the Iraqis themselves start killing us. We won't leave because his pride will not allow him to admit that he was wrong. He is just too arrogant for that and that is a shame. The dead bodies will keep returning to the U.S. and Bush will continue his be patient theme.

I say let's leave now. Lets leave while we can and minimize the body count. After all, wasn't it Bush who said "Mission Accomplished" when he landed on that aircraft carrier? Or maybe he lied to us that day. Wait a minute. A politician lied.
