Cut and Run
The majority of those fighting in Iraq, 84%, come from middle income communities and lower. By definition that means the majority of those fighting in Iraq are in fact DEMOCRATS since historically that is their chosen political party. So I ask you how can it be the Democrats that have cut and run? The simple answer is they have not! If anyone in this country has "cut and run" it was George Bush himself. When it was his turn to fight in Vietnam he "cut and run." Oh he did not have to run very far - just to his daddy for help. He chose not to go and instead stayed state side. Supposedly he was somewhere in Alabama flying jets but the U.S. military has conveniently lost the actual service records regarding his whereabouts. Hmm... Suffice to say that regardless of where he was he was stationed it was here in the U.S. and not in Vietnam. I will repeat that again - he was not in Vietnam! In fact he has never been to Vietnam nor has he ever fought for this country. His service record is a big fat ZERO! Despite this he and his minions continue to tell the American people that they and they alone are the protectors of our freedom. "Our party's record is clear. We see the stakes, we understand the nature of the enemy. We know that the enemy wants to attack us again. We will not wait to respond to the enemy. We're not going to wait for them to attack us in order to respond," said Bush, vowing to "settle for nothing less than victory". So lets look at his party's record. His party started a war with a country that neither attacked nor threatened us. The Iraq war was the first and is still the only "preemptive war" in history. His party has spent over $1 Trillion in Iraq and the majority of Americans feel no safer today than on 9/11. In fact the polls show that they believe that Iraq war has only made things worse. Most Americans believe the Iraq war has only encouraged the terrorists to attack again. Many point to a recently declassified National Intelligence Estimate by all 16 US spy agencies that warns the Iraq war serves as a de-facto recruiting sergeant for terrorists. The terrorists want to go to Iraq to train and attack anything American. Regrettably this was not the situation prior to the Iraq war. So the next time you hear George Bush talk about "cut and run" remember his personal history and the current state of Iraq. Finally, when he is spewing his hypocrisy CUT off the TV or the radio and RUN - RUN to the nearest bathroom. Because if you are at all like I am listening to it will make you want to vomit. |
Recently George Bush made comments calling the Democrat's
"the party of cut and run". I personally find that statement to be
offensive and imagine that the majority of Democrats do too.
